Carolyn Moos is the tallamazons.com official virtual trainer and consultant for nutrition.

Carolyn can train you by Skype as well as online nutrition log analysis and planning your menu by phone and e-mail, plus cross-training, such as power yoga, and group nutrition presentations.

“When I work with athletes I create specific macronutrient profiled ratios (carbohydrates, proteins, fats) relative to desired vs actual muscle to fat ratios and their caloric expenditures (calculations). Macronutrient profiling manipulates how fuel is used, blood glucose (which not only helps elite athletes but the general public too!), and affects cognitive and physical functioning.

I eat VERY clean and plan all my meals – a topic to cover with parents of student-athletes: how to make healthy eating affordable and convenient and how to PLAN ahead (especially during school week, tournament days, etc.!).

I work with athletes via phone, email, Skype and flip video, so they can be anywhere in the world and I can help them.

Sports Nutrition is the key foundation to manipulating body composition (muscle to fat ratio), lowering risk of injury and prolonging a player’s career. It is also very beneficial for children and teens to develop skills sets for life such as how to buy healthy groceries, what foods to eat on the go, what to eat pre- and post-workout and games. Nutrition fuels your body and your mind the right way for optimal performance on and off the court and field.

Topics to be covered include meal timing, macronutrient profiling, glycemic index and menu planning.
